My thesis project aims to use spin waves to probe the spin-polarized electronic transport in thin films of single crystalline FeV alloys. The spin wave Doppler shift gives direct access to the spin polarization of the electric current in the material. By measuring at different temperatures and different concentrations of V, we intend to separate the different contributions (phonons, magnons, impurities) to the transport of electrons in the so-called two-current model.
