The 1st French – Italian Coordination Chemistry days will be held on January 24–26, 2024 in Strasbourg (France) at the Institut de Science et d’Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (I.S.I.S.) on the Esplanade Campus.

For the first time, this conference is organized under the joint auspices of the sister French and Italian chemical societies: the Societé Chimique de France (SCF) and the Società Chimica Italiana (SCI), along with the Division de Chimie de Coordination (DCC-SCF), the Divisione di Chimica Inorganica (DCI-SCI) and the Gruppo Interdivisionale di Chimica Organometallica (GICO-SCI).

This scientific event aims to bring together the communities of coordination chemists from both countries. The program of the conference will include 12 keynotes lectures, including those of the winners of the DCC-SCF prizes (senior and junior), about 35 oral communications and a poster session.

In the news

We recently presented the synthesis of three new tetranuclear copper-iodide clusters with cubane-like {Cu4I4} motif that show very intense yellow solid state luminescence (up to 83% PLQY). https://doi.org/10.3390/sym15061210

We recently presented a family of novel triphenylphosphonium-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene Pt(II) complexes and demonstrated their cytotoxicity against human glioblastoma cell line U87 and human glioblastoma stem cell line NCH421K. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijpharm.2023.123071

We recently studied a family of highly fluorescent bis-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine Zn(II) complexes with near-UV to green emission. Their remarkable behaviour was ascribed to an excited state with symmetry-broken charge transfer (1SBCT) character.  https://doi.org/10.1002/cptc.202300092
