Title : « Ultrafast Photoelectron Spectroscopy of Aqueous Solutions and Gas–Liquid Interfaces »

Speaker : Prof. Toshinori Suzuki  (Département de chimie de l’université de Kyoto, Japon)

Abstract : Ultrafast photoelectron spectroscopy using extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) probe pulses with photon energies above 21 eV provides broad access to transient molecular states with different geometries and spin multiplicities. This technique offers a comprehensive picture of coherent nuclear motions and ultrafast nonadiabatic dynamics in aqueous solutions and at gas–liquid interfaces. In combination with time-resolved infrared spectroscopy, it also enables us to investigate the structural dynamics of nucleotides in aqueous solution
