Perovskite-based photovoltaic solar cells

Organo-metal halide perovskite

Today, organo-metal halide perovskites (OMHPs) inspire great research interests particularly in the realm of photovoltaic cells after unprecedented improvements in the photo-to-electrical conversion efficiencies within the last five years. Most research works still focus on the efficiency improvements by optimizing OMHPs’ crystalline properties and adjusting energy barrier height at interfaces with different molecules. Our aim is to implement inorganic metal oxide materials into such systems. Our project is essentially to solve the problem of the interfacial compatibility between OMHPs and transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) in order to further optimizing OMHPs based organic photovoltaic cell efficiencies, lifetimes and stabilities.
