Academic background

I was born in 1996 in Verona, Italy.

I obtained my BSc in Industrial Chemistry in 2018 from the University of Padova, Italy with a research project under the supervision of Prof. Cristina Tubaro at the Department of Chemical Sciences (DiSC) on Au(I)-Au(I) and Au(III)-Au(III) binuclear di-NHC compounds.

I followed my studies in Padova with a MSc in Chemistry with a focus on applied and industrial chemistry and graduated in 2021 after completing a research project under Prof. Andrea Biffis on the synthesis, characterization and acid-base behaviour of theophylline-based Ir(I) and Ir(III) protic NHC coordination compounds.

Current role at IPCMS

In late 2021 I joined the Department of Organic Materials (DMO) at the IPCMS, in the Metals and their functions research équipe under the supervision of Prof. Matteo Mauro, where I obtained my PhD upon dissertation of a research project on first-and second-row phosphorescent transition metal complexes based on the benzo[d]thiazole and thiazolo[4,5-d]thiazole scaffolds.

I am currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the IPCMS under the joint supervision of Prof. Matteo Mauro and Prof. Stéphane Bellemin-Laponnaz on the synthesis and photochemistry of emissive Earth-abundant organometallic and coordination compounds and organic fluorophores for optoelectronic applications.
