Academic background

I was born in 1996 in Verona, Italy.

I obtained my BSc in Industrial Chemistry in 2018 from the University of Padova, Italy with a research-oriented thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cristina TUBARO at the Department of Chemical Sciences [DiSC]. This first research experience dealt with Au(I)-Au(I) and Au(III)-Au(III) binuclear di-NHC compounds.

I followed my studies with a MSc in Chemistry at the same university and graduated in 2021 after completing a research project under Prof. Dr. Andrea BIFFIS at DiSC regarding the synthesis, characterization and acid-base study of theophylline-based Ir(I) and Ir(III) pNHC coordination compounds.

Current role at IPCMS

At the ICPMS – DMO I am working under the supervision of Dr. Matteo MAURO on the photochemistry of photoactive organometallic (supra)molecular metal-ligand architectures.

In addition to this project, I am also investigating the photochemistry of Zn, Au, Pt and Re coordination compounds and organic fluorophores for OLED applications.

I will hold this position until 2025.
